About This Tutorial

What is HisabPotro and Why?

Hisabpotro is a mobile-based accounting software application. It allows users to instantly track all transactions, profit and loss calculations, financial status, inventory, outstanding payments, cash in hand, as well as purchase, sales, and expenses for small and cottage industries.

Whom is Hisabpotro for?

Hisabpotro is highly useful for micro to small business owners, including doctors, shopkeepers, electricians, mechanics, freelancers, startups, and similar-level entrepreneurs.

How to Create an Account on the Hisabpotro App?

  1. Install the app: Search for “Hisab Potro” on the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and install.
  2. Tap on “Register”: Enter your name, business name, email ID, password, and other required information. Then tap “Create Account”.
  3. Verify your Email: After registration, you’ll receive a verification email. Click the link to activate your account.
  4. Sign in using your email and password: You can now sign in and enjoy a 30-day free trial.

Tips: Use a combination of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters (such as @ # $ % &) for a secure password.

How to Add Business Details?

Sidebar → “Settings” → “Business Details” to add all necessary information.

  • Enter your business name (if applicable).
  • Insert the permanent or temporary address (if applicable).
  • Enter the business capital.
  • Enter the business identification number (if available).
  • Specify the business currency, then tap the save icon to save the details.

How to Change Language?

The app is available in English and Bengali. By default, it opens in English. Go to Sidebar → “Settings” → “Change Language”. The app will restart and then display in Bengali.

How to Change User Name?

Sidebar → “Settings” → “User Profile”. Add first and last name, optionally upload a picture, then tap the save icon.

How to Add a Customer, Supplier, or Product?

  1. From the left sidebar/burger menu, tap on Customers, Suppliers, or Products to view the list.
  2. Tap the add icon below to create a new entry.
  3. Fill in the required information and tap the save icon.
  4. From the list, you can view details and related transactions. You can edit or delete (if no transactions occurred).
  5. To view a customer’s/supplier’s/product’s transactions, tap the right-arrow on the item, select the period, then tap “Show Report”.
  6. You can view pending dues in the customer ledger, payable in the supplier ledger, purchase/sales prices, and product ledger with purchase, sales, and inventory amounts.

How to Record a Purchase Invoice?

  1. Sidebar → “Purchase Invoice”, then choose “Cash Purchases” (for cash) or “Credit Purchases” (for credit).
  2. Tap the add icon → fill in required fields.
  3. The current date appears by default; change if needed.
  4. Mention receipt or invoice number as reference (if available).
  5. Select the supplier. If not visible, search by name. Previously transacted suppliers will appear in the list.
